Overview
The Voluntary Car Transport module of TranSys is used to manage and control transport operations that utilise volunteers as their major resource on a request and fulfilment basis. The "VCT" module is part of a comprehensive transport software package and may be used as a stand-alone application or in conjunction with other TranSys modules. Each module uses a common database of clients and resources. Data within the database may be shared with other modules if required. This being beneficial when an organisation is running an integrated transport policy.
Voluntary transport operations are, by definition, under time and resource pressure. Finding volunteers available to carry out journeys, estimating journey times, tracking mileage travelled along with nominal and dead mileage is made simple and effective with this software. Both the day-to-day operation of the department and the compilation of travel statistics are important to a Community Transport Operation and with our software in place the job is made that much easier.
